SAA Trophies

In 2019, the SAA Committee decided to provide a SAA Trophy for all categories. Previously, only Advanced and Freestyle pilots got the opportunity to win a trophy. These new trophies have been designed and realized by Aircraft Studio Design managed by Mirco Pecorari in Modena, Italy. Mirco want to make “swiss aerobatic trophies” which represent Switzerland. The rings system for the years is a tribute to watchmaking. Goal is achieved !

Little story : these trophies were delivered by Mirco himself (who came by car, directly from Modena to Bressaucourt) on September 14, 2019 at 14:15 LT. Final Ranking for the 2019 SNAC was scheduled at 18:00 LT on that day. Mirco was on time for delivery !

Eric Müller Trophy

Little stories : the drawing on the Trophy is a reproduction of an original drawing of Eric Müller. In 1998, the SAA adopted the new CIVA categories and the Promotion Category became the Advanced Category. The original idea was to give that trophy to the pilot who will win it 3 times. In 2014, the SAA decided to keep it, despite the fact that a pilot won it for the 3rd times. This trophy is maybe not the most beautiful we can find, but it’s History. This trophy is not very flat anymore, it’s probably due to an accident ; in 2008, it fell down from a bookcase during an earthquake in Wallis.

Christian Schweizer Trophy

Litte story : in 2003, Rosemarie Schweizer gave personally this trophy for the first time to Olivier Favre during the SNAC Final Ranking in Fricktal-Schupfart (former home base of Christian and Daniel Schweizer). That was a very moving ceremony for all present people.
